Air China Launches New Passenger and Cargo Services

Air China has opened a new VIP facility, the Supreme Lounge, at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). Situated on the fourth floor of Terminal 2, the lounge is available to first class passengers and Paragon cardholders and complements the airline’s existing lounges in Terminals 1 and 2.

The Supreme Lounge spans 5,516 square feet and accommodates up to 65 guests. It offers complimentary WiFi, a PC work area, a quiet reading room and shower facilities. Food and beverage options include a mix of Chinese and Western dishes as well as local Taiwanese snacks such as bubble tea, roasted sweet potatoes and tea eggs. Designed by architect Ricky Liu, the lounge follows a “Nouveau Oriental” concept that blends Eastern and Western design elements to create a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere.

In addition to the lounge opening, Air China expanded its checked-baggage through check-in service for passengers connecting through Beijing (PEK). Travelers departing from a number of international gateways can now check their luggage all the way to their final domestic Chinese destinations at their origin airport. The cities covered by this service include London (LHR), Paris (CDG), Dusseldorf (DUS), Munich (MUC), Frankfurt (FRA), Rome (FCO), Milan (MXP), Stockholm (ARN), Vancouver (YVR), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), New York (JFK) and Geneva (GVA). The through check-in will also be available from Houston when Air China launches its Houston–Beijing route on July 11.
