On Saturday, Feb. 14, Devossion by Live Aqua celebrated its grand opening, marking an important milestone for Grupo Posadas and the Live Aqua portfolio. This adults-only resort, located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, focuses on celebration, authentic Mexican experiences, and elevated hospitality designed for travelers seeking memorable moments.
Devossion blends gastronomy, wellness, and lively social energy to create an ideal setting for commemorating life’s special occasions. The resort features 314 guestrooms and suites, including 175 ocean partial and oceanfront suites, plus 67 swim-up suites positioned around the resort’s mangrove.

“As we celebrate 20 years of Live Aqua, Devossion by Live Aqua represents a new chapter for our brand portfolio,” said José Carlos Azcárraga, CEO of Grupo Posadas. “This resort was designed for today’s traveler who seeks energy, connection, and special experiences that go beyond the traditional concept of luxury hospitality. Its opening reinforces our commitment to innovation and to the continued growth of tourism in Quintana Roo and Mexico.”
Dining and entertainment are central to the resort’s design. Devossion offers seven restaurants, four bars, an exclusive lounge, and a speakeasy concept. In June 2026 the property will expand its offerings with a beach club and signature experiences such as the 1:26 Champagne Toast and Kahlo Privé. Guests can participate in a wide range of activities, from innovative mixology and culinary classes to interactive workshops like pottery, guacamole tournaments, and hands-on massage lessons. Carnivore Prime Steakhouse, led by Chef Gerardo Rivera, serves as a culinary anchor for the resort.

Wellness is another pillar of the Devossion experience. Cenote Spa, inspired by the region’s natural cenotes, blends contemporary luxury with the historical and spiritual significance of these formations. The spa’s design reflects cenote-inspired architecture and includes eight treatment rooms. Its wellness menu incorporates elements of sacred Mayan practices and offers daily beachfront yoga, meditation, and sound-healing sessions.
Later this summer, Devossion Lounge—exclusive to suite guests—will open its doors, offering panoramic oceanfront views and live sets from internationally recognized DJs.
