Summer Soirée Parties at Le Méridien: Events & RSVP Guide

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts has announced a lineup of Summer Soirée events at select properties worldwide. Designed to evoke the relaxed charm of the French Riviera, the series features pétanque courts, refreshing aperitifs, curated summer playlists and other seasonal programming that invites both guests and locals to gather, unwind and celebrate warm-weather evenings.

Pétanque, a traditional French game similar to bocce and typically played with metal balls in an outdoor social setting, is being introduced as a seasonal amenity at several Le Méridien hotels. Properties hosting pétanque courts this summer include Le Méridien Piccadilly in London; Le Parker Méridien in New York City; Le Parker Méridien in Palm Springs; Le Méridien Beach Plaza in Monaco; Le Méridien Île Maurice in Mauritius; Le Méridien Saigon in Vietnam; Le Méridien Bora Bora; Le Méridien Fisherman’s Cove in the Seychelles; Le Méridien Split in Croatia; and Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi.

The series launched at Le Méridien Piccadilly in London and will continue nightly through September 20. In New York City, members of the public can join the festivities through Labor Day by purchasing a day pass. In Palm Springs, Le Parker Méridien is offering a Pastis and Pétanque package that includes a complimentary room upgrade, a round of Pastis cocktails for two and breakfast for two, with rates starting at $219 per night.

Additional Summer Soirées open to hotel guests and the public will be hosted at Le Méridien Beach Plaza in Monaco; Le Méridien Île Maurice in Mauritius; Le Méridien Saigon in Vietnam; Le Méridien Fisherman’s Cove in the Seychelles; Le Méridien St. Julian’s in Malta; and Le Méridien Abu Dhabi. In Croatia, events will be available to hotel guests and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) members.

Complementing the pétanque offering, the Summer Soirées include the Sparkling program, which presents contemporary twists on cocktail hour with three new summer cocktails created by Franz Zauner, global master barista for Le Méridien. A new 24-hour hotel soundtrack, curated by music partner Nouvelle Vague, provides a continuous musical backdrop for the season’s gatherings.

“Our new Summer Soirées are a foray into French culture, truly immersing our guests around the world in cuisine, culture and musical inspiration derived from our roots in France,” said Brian Povinelli, senior vice president and global brand leader, Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts. He added that the global events help connect the brand’s identity as Le Méridien prepares to reopen its newly renovated flagship in Paris, Le Méridien Étoile, this September.
