Etihad Launches Daily Service to Venice from Abu Dhabi

Starting Oct. 30, Etihad Airways passengers will be able to fly daily to Venice Marco Polo Airport. The route will be operated with an Airbus A319 configured with 16 business-class seats and 90 economy-class seats, offering travelers a comfortable and efficient connection to Venice.

The new service connects through Etihad’s hub in Abu Dhabi (AUH), providing seamless onward connections to destinations across Asia and Australia. This expansion strengthens the airline’s network and supports growing demand for travel between Italy and the wider Etihad route map.

“Launching our service to Venice further supports a very popular passenger route between Italy, our Abu Dhabi hub and onwards throughout Etihad Airways’ growing network, as far afield as Australia,” said Kevin Knight, chief strategy and planning officer at Etihad Airways. He noted that the new link also reinforces the strong commercial ties between Italy and the United Arab Emirates maintained through Etihad’s partnerships.

Alitalia currently operates flights between Venice and Abu Dhabi, but plans to redeploy the aircraft to a different route later in the year, creating an opportunity for Etihad to fill the schedule and offer continuity for travelers on this corridor.

Flight times are designed for convenient connections: daily departures from Abu Dhabi leave at 2:30 a.m., arriving in Venice at 6:40 a.m. Return flights depart Venice at 10:55 a.m. and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 7:55 p.m. These timings aim to maximize onward connection options through Abu Dhabi while serving both business and leisure travelers.

With the addition of Venice to Etihad’s schedule, passengers can expect the carrier’s standard service levels, access to frequent flyer benefits where applicable, and improved connectivity via Abu Dhabi to Etihad’s broader global network.
