Holiday Events at Grand Hyatt Vail: Festive Activities & Dining

Grand Hyatt Vail has announced its holiday programming for the 2022 season, now available to book. The resort is offering a range of festive dining options, guest activities and private event spaces for Thanksgiving through New Year’s.

Thanksgiving Lunch Buffet

Gessner restaurant will serve a Thanksgiving lunch buffet featuring traditional and contemporary favorites to suit a variety of tastes. Selections include chilled seafood, short ribs, sweet potato casserole and roast turkey. The buffet runs on Thanksgiving from 12–6 p.m. Pricing starts at $80 per person; children under 12 pay their age.

Grand Winter Moments

From Dec. 19–Jan. 1, the hotel will present Grand Winter Moments, a series of daily festive activities and special dining opportunities exclusively for guests. Activities include ornament decorating, complimentary Topgolf sessions, live music, a visit with Santa, Champagne sabering demonstrations, s’mores making and more, designed to create memorable family and friends experiences throughout the holiday period.

Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve Dinner

On both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, the resort’s Gessner and Yoshimi Pop-Up restaurants will offer curated holiday menus each evening from 4–10 p.m., giving guests multiple dining options for those special nights.

Christmas Dinner Buffet

The Christmas Day dinner buffet will feature a festive selection including French onion soup, hand-carved roasts, cornbread stuffing, truffle mac and cheese, an assortment of pies and a cookie-decorating station. The buffet is offered on Christmas Day from 4–8 p.m. at $90 per person; children under 12 pay their age.

New Year’s Eve Festivities

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the resort with special menus at Gessner or Yoshimi Pop-Up and an after-hours party in the Fireside Lounge from 10 p.m.–1 a.m. The lounge event will feature a DJ, Champagne service, a dessert bar and a lively atmosphere to ring in the new year.

Private Dining

For private gatherings, the resort offers three dedicated event spaces: Gessner’s private dining room, the Moët Imperial Yurt and private boardrooms. Rental rates are $1,000, $2,000 and $500 respectively. There is a hosting fee of $200 per adult with a minimum of eight diners required for private dining arrangements.

In addition to holiday programming, the property is promoting its Save Now, Ski Later offer. Guests who book by Nov. 30 for travel between Nov. 11, 2022 and April 15, 2023 can receive 10 percent off nightly rates along with 10,000 World of Hyatt Bonus Points.
