Kempinski Arabian Hospitality: Luxury Stays & Authentic Experiences

Luxury hotel group Kempinski will open a new waterfront property on the man-made island of The Pearl in Qatar later this year. Marsa Malaz Kempinski – The Pearl, Doha will occupy roughly 500,000 square feet and offer sweeping views of The Pearl and the Arabian Gulf. This five-star hotel marks Kempinski’s second collaboration with Qatar-based Alfardan Hospitality, following their joint development and management of Doha’s tallest tower, the Kempinski Residences and Suites.

Omar Alfardan, president and CEO of the Alfardan Group, said the new property “will truly set itself as an iconic waterfront destination reflecting the true splendor of Doha, enhancing the international reputation of Qatar as a fast-emerging luxury tourist destination.” The project aims to strengthen Doha’s appeal to high-end travelers by combining Kempinski’s long-standing tradition of luxury hospitality with the distinctive waterfront setting of The Pearl.

Founded in 1897, Kempinski is Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group and operates properties across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Marsa Malaz Kempinski – The Pearl, Doha is expected to bring Kempinski’s signature service, refined design and premium facilities to one of Qatar’s most prestigious developments.

The Pearl has become a prominent address in Doha, known for its waterfront promenades, upscale residences and leisure offerings. The arrival of a Kempinski property on the island reinforces the area’s status as a hub for luxury accommodation and international visitors. Guests at the new hotel can anticipate a range of amenities typical of a five-star resort, likely including gourmet dining, sophisticated spa services, and direct access to beach and marina facilities.

As Qatar continues to grow its tourism infrastructure, partnerships like the one between Kempinski and Alfardan Hospitality highlight the country’s push to attract discerning travelers and to diversify its hospitality portfolio. The new hotel is positioned to complement existing attractions in Doha while contributing to elevated hospitality standards on The Pearl.
