As if the Big Sky location and upscale amenities weren’t enough, The Resort at Paws Up in Montana’s Blackfoot Valley is offering a series of culinary events designed to celebrate local food, culture and outdoor living.
This summer guests can join one of three Montana Long Table dinners on June 20, July 11 and August 22. After visiting a Montana farmer’s market to select seasonal produce and regional specialties, diners gather outdoors at a long table set in a grassy pasture. The meals showcase heritage products and ingredients sourced from the surrounding area, with ranchers, farmers and food artisans among the guests and contributors. The format highlights the connections between the land, the people who tend it, and the dishes on the table.
From August 6–8, author, television personality and chef Georgia Pellegrini leads a Modern Pioneering Wilderness Workshop. Designed for guests who want practical, hands-on skills, the workshop covers foraging, butchering, and cheese and candle making, blending traditional knowledge with modern techniques to help participants feel more self-reliant in the outdoors.
On August 29, a culinary immersion weekend begins under the direction of chef Brooke Williamson. Guests start the day with a trip to a local farmer’s market to select the freshest ingredients, then return to the ranch for a multicourse tasting menu. The menu will include a dish honoring the Blackfoot people, who once lived, hunted and harvested in the area now occupied by the ranch, reflecting local history through food.
From September 24–27, the resort celebrates its tenth anniversary with a Montana Master Chefs weekend. Themed “Chicago All-Stars,” the event brings together prominent chefs and wine experts for tastings, demonstrations and collaborative meals. In addition to culinary programming, attendees can enjoy spa treatments and guided outdoor excursions that showcase some of Montana’s most spectacular landscapes, combining gourmet experiences with the natural beauty of the region.
