Brown’s Hotel Platinum Jubilee: Historic Celebrations & Events

Brown’s Hotel in London is marking Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee with a season of special programming that highlights British tradition, food and history.

Among the highlights is the new Supper Club, a culinary series celebrating classic British dishes. The menu focuses on comforting, well-loved plates paired with curated cocktails and aperitifs. Guests can expect traditional offerings such as devils on horseback, Welsh rarebit and carefully mixed gin and tonics. The Supper Club takes place in Brown’s recently redesigned Drawing Room, where updated décor includes bespoke wallpaper depicting illustrated scenes of 19th-century London, creating an intimate and historically inspired setting.

Brown’s has also teamed up with The Balmoral in Scotland to offer The Great British Jubilee Journey. This package combines two nights at each property, first-class rail travel from London to Edinburgh, and luxury amenities at both hotels. The itinerary at Brown’s begins with Time Travel Through Tea, an afternoon tea experience that commemorates defining moments in British history through themed tea service. Guests can join a walking tour led by historian Sophie Malerba to discover stories about the royal family and London’s historic sites.

The guided walking tour includes visits to three historic royal palaces and selected Royal Warrant boutiques, giving guests a close look at institutions linked to the monarchy. As part of the Jubilee Journey, visitors are invited to the hotel’s Donovan Bar to sample a signature cocktail created for the occasion. The Jubilee Gintini blends gin, pink Champagne and bitters for a celebratory drink. Each guest who orders the cocktail also receives a souvenir miniature bottle of Platinum 22 perfume from the well-known Floris London perfumery.
