Hyatt Hotels Corp. has announced plans to open a third Hyatt-branded hotel in Colombia, joining the Grand Hyatt Bogotá and Hyatt Regency Cartagena, all scheduled to debut in 2016. The new Hyatt Regency Cali will be situated in northwestern Cali, in one of the city’s most desirable and upscale neighborhoods, and will offer convenient access to Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport (CLO).
The property will include 218 guestrooms and suites designed for both business and leisure travelers. On-site amenities will feature a restaurant and bar, a fitness center, an indoor pool, a spa, and approximately 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space suitable for conferences, weddings, and other gatherings.
“Cali represents an important destination for a Hyatt Regency hotel because it is Colombia’s second largest city and a gateway to Latin America,” said Pat McCudden, senior vice president of real estate and development for Latin America and the Caribbean at Hyatt. “Expanding Hyatt’s brand presence in Colombia is a critical component of our growth strategy for Latin America and Caribbean destinations and reaffirms Hyatt’s commitment to becoming the most preferred brand among business and leisure travelers in the region.”
Hyatt currently operates and is developing more than 30 properties across Latin America and the Caribbean, underscoring the company’s broader regional expansion and investment in key markets.
