Hawaiian Airlines has introduced a new onboard safety video that showcases the islands’ highlights while delivering essential pre-flight instructions.
The four-minute video blends clear safety guidance with scenic footage and personal touches from more than 30 Hawaiian Airlines crew members and their families. Each participant shares a favorite island location, guiding viewers through memorable spots across the Hawaiian Islands while demonstrating safety procedures in an engaging, easy-to-follow format.
Featured destinations include Yokohama Beach and Kualoa Ranch on Oʻahu; Haleakalā National Park and Pōʻolenalena Beach on Maui; Waimea Canyon and Waikoko Farm on Kauaʻi; and the Saddle Road lava fields and Umauma Falls on Hawaiʻi Island. These visuals accompany the standard safety demonstrations, helping passengers connect with the islands before they arrive.
“Safety is paramount at Hawaiian Airlines, and we are pleased to share with our guests a more creative and informative in-flight video as they journey to their favorite island destination,” said Alisa Onishi, director of brand management and development at Hawaiian Airlines. “Featuring our pilots and flight attendants in the video allowed us to deliver our safety message while showing employees in their element—sharing personal stories and favorite places with our guests.”
To mark the launch of the new safety video, Hawaiian Airlines is running a social media contest that invites travelers to post photos of their favorite island locations on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #HAOnLocation. Entries submitted through Sept. 18 will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win 140,000 HawaiianMiles.
