American Airlines Expands Winter Flight Schedule

American Airlines is adding several new winter routes as it expands service across the Americas and the Caribbean.

The carrier will strengthen its U.S.–Mexico network with nonstop flights to Huatulco (HUX) and Acapulco (ACA), and will add additional frequencies to its existing Chihuahua (CUU) route.

New Caribbean and South American connections include service from New York (JFK) to Georgetown, Guyana (GEO); Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands (STT); Chicago (ORD) to St. Thomas (STT); Chicago to St. Lucia (UVF); New York LaGuardia (LGA) to Bermuda (BDA); and Charlotte (CLT) to Grenada (GND).

Miami (MIA), American’s primary gateway to the Caribbean and Latin America, will gain nonstop flights from Oklahoma City (OKC), Northwest Arkansas (XNA) and Columbia, South Carolina (CAE), improving connections for travelers in those markets.

All of the newly announced routes are scheduled to begin service in December 2019.
