Delta Air Lines is expanding its premium Delta One service on several domestic routes beginning in spring 2018. Starting April 1, Delta One will be available on flights between Boston (BOS) and Los Angeles (LAX), and between New York (JFK) and both San Diego (SAN) and Seattle (SEA).
Passengers traveling to Hawai‘i will also see Delta One added on select routes: flights between Atlanta (ATL) and Honolulu (HNL) and between Minneapolis–Saint Paul (MSP) and Honolulu will receive the premium service in April. In May, Delta One will be introduced on flights between New York and Las Vegas (LAS).
Beginning April 1, Delta SkyMiles Medallion members will qualify for unlimited complimentary day-of-departure upgrades to Delta One on domestic flights, providing an additional benefit for frequent flyers.
Glen Hauenstein, president of Delta, said the expansion responds to customer demand for more opportunities to purchase the premium Delta One experience. He noted that while many travelers are choosing to guarantee a premium cabin by buying First Class or Delta One, complimentary upgrades remain an important benefit for Medallion members. Making Delta’s top product available as an upgrade is intended to strengthen the value of SkyMiles for loyal customers.
