Qantas will meet rising demand from Australian ski travelers by operating a seasonal direct route between Sydney and Vancouver during the peak North American winter holiday period. The airline plans six return flights between Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport and Vancouver International Airport from January 3 to January 22, using three-class Boeing 747 aircraft. These services will provide Australians with easier access to British Columbia’s leading ski areas while encouraging inbound tourism to Australia.
“North America is an important market for Qantas, and these direct services reflect our commitment to serving it and leveraging seasonal demand, including to destinations we do not serve year-round,” said Simon Hickey, CEO of Qantas International.
