JetBlue Expands Meal Service to More Flights Starting Now

JetBlue recently expanded its in-flight fresh food offerings to select Latin American and Caribbean routes. This update builds on the airline’s EatUp Café selection, which has been available on domestic long-haul flights.

The refreshed menu is now offered on international flights that exceed four hours and depart from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Boston Logan International Airport. As part of the rollout, JetBlue introduced three new snack boxes designed for these longer-haul international services.

“We are always looking for new ways to push the envelope when it comes to serving food at 35,000 feet,” said Elizabeth Windram, vice president of marketing at JetBlue. “Imagine having a Mediterranean salad shaker on your way to Costa Rica. The Latin America and Caribbean regions account for one-third of our flying, so it’s only natural that we bring this fresh food offering to even more JetBlue customers.”

In addition to the new snack boxes, JetBlue has added fresh-food options across a broader set of Latin American and Caribbean flights. With these enhancements, the airline now offers freshly prepared meals on more than 70 domestic and international routes, extending the reach of its EatUp Café selections and giving travelers more wholesome choices on board.

The expanded menu aims to provide passengers with a wider variety of convenient, freshly prepared choices on routes where longer flight time makes a more substantial offering practical. By focusing on routes from major Northeast hubs and emphasizing regionally appealing options like Mediterranean-style salads, JetBlue is tailoring its food service to match passenger preferences and flight profiles.

These changes reflect a broader trend among carriers to improve the quality and freshness of onboard food, especially on flights where passengers expect more than a basic snack. For frequent travelers on JetBlue’s Latin America and Caribbean routes, the new snack boxes and expanded fresh-food availability should make for a more enjoyable travel experience.
