PONANT has introduced a new addition to its fleet: the Spirit of Ponant, a 24-meter catamaran featuring six staterooms. Built in France, the vessel debuts in July 2024 and will spend the winter season in the Seychelles. Guests may charter the Spirit of Ponant privately for week-long voyages or book individual cabins on select itineraries. Cabin rates start at $8,250 per person, based on double occupancy for a single cabin booking in Corsica.
The Spirit of Ponant accommodates up to 12 guests and a crew of four, including a personal chef. The yacht offers spacious staterooms and a range of water activities such as paddleboarding, wakeboarding and snorkeling, designed to appeal to both relaxation-seekers and active travelers.

“The Spirit of Ponant represents a fresh expression of our pioneering spirit; this travel format is new to the luxury cruise sector,” said Hervé Gastinel, CEO of PONANT. “Guests will experience authentic life at sea, collaborating with the captain to shape an itinerary that reflects their interests. They will discover secluded anchorages in remarkable settings while enjoying the premium services PONANT is known for.”
The catamaran’s inaugural sailings depart from Corsica, operating seven-night round-trip itineraries from Bonifacio that can be tailored to passenger preferences. Each voyage is co-created with the captain, who offers recommendations to enhance the route and activities. During the 2024 winter season in the Seychelles, the Spirit of Ponant will offer voyages circumnavigating Mahé, showcasing the islands’ coastal beauty and marine experiences.

Guillaume Le Brec, the experienced skipper leading the project at PONANT, noted that the Lagoon Seventy 7 design has been widely praised across the industry for its generous interior and exterior spaces. “Guests will value the high-end finishes and appreciate the yacht’s outstanding sailing performance,” he said, emphasizing the combination of comfort and capability that defines the Spirit of Ponant.
