Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has opened its first hotel in Turkey, the Shangri-La Bosphorus in Istanbul. Set to welcome guests in May, the property sits on the scenic Bosphorus Strait and preserves a historic façade while offering modern amenities across a 13‑storey building, six of which are built underground to protect the original exterior.
The hotel features 186 well-appointed guestrooms along with a full-service spa, a fitness center and an indoor pool. Business and event facilities include a boardroom, a teleconferencing room, a business center, a grand ballroom, a junior ballroom and six additional function rooms, providing a combined 1,890 square feet of flexible space for meetings and events.
Located in a prime area of the city, Shangri-La Bosphorus is within easy reach of Istanbul’s top cultural attractions, including Dolmabahçe Palace, the Maritime Museum, Topkapı Palace, the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, making it convenient for both leisure and business travelers to explore the city’s historic highlights.
