Aeromexico and El Al Launch New Codeshare Flights and Routes

Aeroméxico and EL AL Israel Airlines have signed a codeshare agreement that expands connection options for travelers between Mexico and Israel. The partnership responds to steady growth in demand for travel on the Mexico–Israel corridor and aims to offer passengers more convenient schedules and improved transfer possibilities through major hub cities.

Passenger traffic between Mexico and Israel has increased notably in recent years, rising by more than 10 percent and now exceeding 35,000 travelers annually. To accommodate this trend and provide better service, the two carriers will coordinate schedules and sell seats on each other’s flights across several European and North American hubs. The agreement adds flexibility for travelers and increases the number of viable itineraries linking Mexico City (MEX) with Tel Aviv (TLV).

The codeshare arrangement enhances connectivity through airports served by both airlines, including Toronto (YYZ), Amsterdam (AMS), London (LHR), Madrid (MAD), and Paris (CDG). By combining networks at these strategic points, the partnership creates more than 10 alternative flight options between Mexico City and Tel Aviv, giving customers a wider range of departure times, layover durations, and routing choices.

With this expanded network, passengers can expect easier transfers and improved access to onward connections beyond Mexico and Israel. The collaboration not only benefits leisure travelers visiting friends and family or exploring cultural and historical sites, but also business travelers seeking efficient routing and consistent service standards. It also supports tourism and commercial ties by simplifying travel logistics for both countries.

Andrés Conesa, Chief Executive Officer of Aeroméxico, emphasized the strategic value of the alliance: “This alliance reflects our consistent pursuit to offer our customers new and attractive options to connect to different destinations, where our partners allow us to expand our extensive flight connectivity network even further. On this occasion, we thank EL AL Israel Airlines for sharing our commitment and vision, which I am sure will allow us to strengthen the ties between Mexico and Israel even more.”

The codeshare will enable passengers to book single-ticket itineraries that combine flights operated by both airlines, making connections smoother and simplifying baggage transfers and check-in procedures when applicable. Travelers should still verify visa and transit requirements for connecting airports, and check-in times and baggage rules for each carrier on the itinerary.

As part of the implementation, both airlines will align schedules where possible to minimize layover times and offer more consistent service standards across shared routes. The agreement also provides potential opportunities for coordinated marketing, streamlined customer service for connecting passengers, and shared frequent flyer benefits, depending on each carrier’s program terms.

This partnership signals an intent by both carriers to respond to market demand with practical, customer-focused solutions. By leveraging complementary networks and key international hubs, Aeroméxico and EL AL are positioned to deliver greater choice and convenience for travelers moving between Mexico and Israel, while supporting broader economic and cultural exchange.

Customers interested in traveling on these routes should consult Aeroméxico and EL AL directly for the most up-to-date schedule options, booking availability, fare rules, and any travel advisories that may affect itineraries. Advance planning will help passengers take full advantage of the increased route flexibility provided by the new codeshare partnership.
