Fresh from Down Under, Qantas Airways has unveiled a comprehensive new design that touches everything from the cabin interior to the aircraft exterior. The Australian carrier’s update represents a modernized visual identity and a refreshed passenger experience across its fleet.
The airline’s earlier liveries included three of five designs that used a white kangaroo on a red background. The updated logo retains the kangaroo motif but simplifies its form: the front paws have been removed and details around the snout and head are softened to create a sleeker, more minimalist silhouette. The fleet marking “Qantasi05/” remains on the fuselage, though the typeface is no longer italicized and the tone has been lightened to match the new aesthetic.
Qantas’ new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners are configured to carry 236 passengers across three classes: business, premium economy and economy. Each economy seat includes modern conveniences such as USB charging ports, seatback mood lighting and an integrated footrest for added comfort on longer flights.
Business class has also been reimagined with seats that fully recline and maintain a fully flat position when required. Innovative dividing partitions offer additional privacy, helping separate travelers in the cabin and create a more secluded environment for work or rest during flight.
Overall, the redesign emphasizes a clean, contemporary brand look paired with practical cabin enhancements aimed at improving passenger comfort and convenience. The simplified kangaroo emblem and refreshed typography give Qantas a cohesive visual identity, while the cabin upgrades reflect current expectations for in-flight amenities across international fleets.
