Between June 23 and September 8, The View from The Shard will present a limited number of premium Fortnum & Mason picnic experiences on the 72nd-floor open-air sky deck, 800 feet above the city.
Starting at $130 for two people, each reservation includes a private picnic blanket arranged within a garden-like setting so guests can savor a “sky-high” afternoon tea while enjoying fresh air and sweeping panoramic views of London that extend up to 40 miles.
Each Fortnum & Mason picnic basket is carefully prepared with classic finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and raspberry jam, plus Fortnum & Mason’s signature Royal Blend tea. Champagne can be added as an optional upgrade during booking. The afternoon tea picnic service runs daily from noon until 6 p.m. Booking opens on May 1.
For those who prefer a sheltered option during unpredictable English weather, The View from The Shard also offers tickets that include a special afternoon tea served at Fortnum & Mason’s Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, providing the same high-quality menu in a weather-safe environment.
