Hilton Opens Its First Hotel in Guatemala City: What Travelers Should Know

Guatemala’s first Hilton Hotels & Resorts property is scheduled to open in late 2018. The brand is converting an existing hotel and renovations are currently in progress to prepare the property for its debut.

“The opening of our first Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in Guatemala reflects our commitment to expanding in Latin America,” said Mario Carbone, director of development, Central America and Yucatan, Hilton. “Adding this hotel to our growing portfolio will allow us to deliver quality service and comfortable accommodations to visitors exploring Guatemala’s cultural and historical attractions.”

The planned Hilton Guatemala City will feature 130 guestrooms and suites, offering city and garden views. The design emphasizes upscale colonial-inspired decor and thoughtful amenities. Dining options will include three on-site restaurants, a signature restaurant, a lobby bar and a coffee shop. Guests will also have access to an outdoor pool and a fitness center.

For business and social events, the hotel will provide roughly 3,000 square feet of flexible event space, including a ballroom and seven meeting rooms. Its location offers convenient access to Guatemala City’s primary commercial and office districts, making it suitable for both leisure travelers and business guests.
