Uber Eats Delivers Meals Direct to Toronto Pearson Gates

Uber Eats now delivers food to travelers at Toronto Pearson International Airport, enabling passengers to order meals from participating airport restaurants and have them delivered directly to their gate.

The pilot program launched last month through a collaboration between Uber, Toronto Pearson and HMSHost, the operator of many airport dining options.

Currently, the service is available in the international and domestic departure zones of Terminal 3, covering gates B22–41 and C30–36. Through the Uber Eats app on iPhone or Android, travelers can choose items from Caplansky’s Deli, Paramount Fine Foods, Smoke’s Burritorie, Smashburger and Fionn MacCools and receive delivery right at the gate.

The trial is scheduled to run through early fall, giving passengers a convenient alternative to waiting in line or carrying food through the terminal.

“Uber Eats’ partnership with Toronto Pearson is a perfect example of how our platform is creating unique experiences in unexpected places, beyond rides,” said Marcus Womack, head of global airport products at Uber. “We’re making the dining experience a more convenient part of travel, in one of the world’s most innovative airports, one meal at a time.”
