The Ascott Limited, a global operator of luxury serviced residences, has announced plans to expand its presence with three new properties scheduled to open in 2015: its first residence in Saudi Arabia and two new residences in Wuxi, China.
Ascott Olaya Riyadh will mark the group’s entry into Saudi Arabia. Located about five minutes from the new King Abdullah Financial District, the residence will offer 230 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments designed for both short- and extended-stay guests. The property will include a business center, meeting rooms and a fitness center to support business travelers and long-stay residents.
In China’s Jiangsu province, Ascott is adding two residences in Wuxi near Shanghai. Ascott Central Wuxi will be situated in the Chong An District, while Somerset Wuxi will be located in the Bin Hu District, close to the city center and the Taihu Square Central Business District. Both Wuxi properties will offer accommodation ranging from studios to suites, each featuring a fully equipped kitchen and separate work and sleeping areas to suit extended stays and corporate travelers. Amenities at both locations will include a fitness center, meeting rooms and a business center.
These openings build on Ascott’s global portfolio; the company currently operates more than 8,600 apartment units across 48 properties in 19 cities. The new additions in Riyadh and Wuxi reinforce Ascott’s strategy of growing in key business and urban centres, delivering serviced residences with residential comforts and business-focused facilities.
