Langham Hospitality Group has launched a new upscale global brand: Cordis Hotels and Resorts. The brand is designed for a new generation of travelers, focusing on guest wellbeing and thoughtful service. The name Cordis comes from the Latin word for “heart,” reflecting the brand’s emphasis on warmth, care and connection. Its holistic concept centers on four core pillars: intuitive service, connectivity, refined design, and a strong sense of community.
“Building on the successes of Langham Hotels and Resorts, we saw the need to create a collection of international upscale hotels and resorts that will deliver what our guests desire: personalized and efficient services, seamless technology, and authentic experiences in the best locations around the world,” said Robert Warman, CEO of Langham Hospitality Group.
Each Cordis property will be distinct in style, architecture and interior design, intentionally reflecting the character and culture of its location. The hotels will cater to a wide range of travelers—business guests, couples, and multi-generational families—offering thoughtfully tailored amenities and experiences that suit their needs.
The Cordis portfolio will comprise newly designed hotels, resorts and contemporary residences, established through a mix of ground-up developments and conversions. Initial projects will focus on major cities in Asia and North America, with the first Cordis hotel slated to open in Hong Kong later this year.
To date, Cordis has signed management agreements and letters of intent for eight hotels across seven cities to be launched within the next three years. Besides the Hong Kong opening, the pipeline includes five properties in China and hotels planned in Bali (Indonesia) and Colombo (Sri Lanka). The brand is also targeting additional global destinations for future expansion, including London, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Orlando, San Francisco, Dubai, Singapore and Bangkok.
