Peace Vans Launches Volkswagen Camper Van Rentals

Seattle-based Peace Vans Rentals launched last month, offering fully restored Volkswagen Westfalia campers for summer travel throughout the region.

The rental fleet consists of Westfalia vans built between 1987 and 1991, each thoughtfully restored and equipped for comfortable multi-day trips. Designed to sleep up to four adults, the campers include a built-in stove, sink and ample storage. They arrive stocked with essential cookware and utensils, practical lighting such as headlamps, and a French press coffeemaker with freshly roasted regional coffee beans. Renters can also add local Washington wines, spirits and gourmet treats to enhance their trip.

“Peace Vans, our sister company and one of the nation’s foremost Volkswagen Van restoration experts, has been getting requests for rentals since inception in 2012, so it’s a joy to be able to extend this possibility,” said Harley Sitner, owner of Peace Vans Rentals. According to Sitner, early reservations are already coming in for road trip reunions, family adventures and girlfriend getaways. The combination of reliable, well-maintained vans and the nostalgic appeal of VW campers makes these rentals an accessible option for a wide variety of travelers.

Renters can design their own route or consult with Peace Vans’ experienced team for suggested itineraries and practical tips. Reservations are open now for travel beginning May 1. Rentals require a minimum stay of six nights with pick-up available on Sundays after 1 p.m.

Rates start at $1,425 for a one-week rental (six nights). Additional nights are charged at $205 per night. The rental rate includes 100 miles per day; mileage beyond that is billed at $0.15 per mile.
