Dec. 16, 2017 — New York City: John F. Kennedy International Airport received the first aircraft outfitted with Qatar Airways’ new Qsuite business class. Installed on select Boeing 777 aircraft, the Qsuite debuted on routes between New York (JFK) and Doha (DOH), with plans to introduce the product on flights from Washington Dulles in the future.
Qsuite reimagines business class by offering private cabins and the option of converting seats into double beds. Each suite is designed for comfort and privacy, with features such as movable partitions that stow away when not needed and individual, adjustable TV monitors.
The design also supports collaboration and socializing. Passengers travelling together can link adjacent suites to create a shared space for work or dining, complete with a private monitor and a surface suitable for a laptop. These adaptable layouts aim to appeal particularly to business travelers commuting between East Coast cities and destinations in the Middle East, providing both a productive workspace and a comfortable place to rest.
