Delta Opens New Lounge at London Heathrow (LHR) — What to Know

Delta has opened a new Delta Arrivals Lounge at London Heathrow (LHR). Situated in the arrivals hall of Terminal 3, the lounge welcomes Delta BusinessElite (Delta One as of March 1) passengers, as well as SkyMiles Diamond and Platinum Medallion members arriving from the United States, who receive complimentary access.

The lounge is designed to help arriving travelers refresh and transition smoothly after long-haul flights. Facilities include 11 private shower suites stocked with Malin+Goetz amenities, on-site butler services offering clothes pressing and shoe shining, a selection of breakfast items, complimentary Wi-Fi, and assistance with onward reservations.

These amenities are aimed at easing the arrival experience for premium customers, whether they need a quick shower, a place to freshen up before a meeting, or help arranging the next leg of their journey. The private showers provide a quiet, clean environment with quality toiletries. Butler services streamline final touches, from pressed clothing to polished shoes, while the lounge’s food and beverage options focus on light breakfast offerings appropriate for early arrivals.

In announcing the new facility, Perry Cantarutti, senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Delta Air Lines, emphasized the airline’s commitment to London Heathrow and premium travelers. He noted that the Arrivals Lounge complements Delta’s existing premium departure areas, Sky Clubs, and shower facilities across its network, reinforcing the carrier’s focus on service and convenience at one of its key gateways.

The opening of the Delta Arrivals Lounge at Terminal 3 reflects a broader trend among international carriers to provide arrival-specific facilities that cater to the needs of passengers landing after overnight or long-haul flights. By concentrating on practical services—showers, pressing, shoe shine, Wi-Fi, and reservation support—Delta aims to offer a seamless, elevated arrival experience that helps business and frequent travelers arrive ready for the day ahead.

Access terms are straightforward: eligible Delta premium cabin passengers and qualified SkyMiles members arriving on qualifying flights from the U.S. can use the lounge without charge, while other guests should check Delta’s policies for entry options. The lounge’s location in Terminal 3 makes it accessible to those arriving on Delta-operated services at Heathrow, providing a convenient spot to regroup before continuing into London or onward destinations.

With this addition, Delta strengthens its ground services at Heathrow, enhancing the overall travel experience through practical, comfortable arrivals amenities designed to meet the expectations of premium passengers and frequent flyers.
