Helsinki Airport will open the new Ring Rail Line this summer, creating a direct and convenient rail connection between the airport and Helsinki city center. The rail link is part of Finavia’s broader development plan to expand Helsinki Airport’s capacity and service, with a target to handle 20 million passengers annually by 2020. The Ring Rail Line gives travelers another efficient option for reaching the airport and accessing direct flights to roughly 130 international destinations.
“Beyond flying, you can simply come to Helsinki Airport to spend time,” said Ville Haapasaari, Director of Helsinki Airport at Finavia. “The publicly accessible terminal area features cafes, a 24-hour grocery store and a new dining area opening this spring. You can watch the airport activity while enjoying a coffee or relaxing on the popular scenic terrace.”
