Emirates Launching New London Stansted Route: Flight Details & Dates

Emirates will begin flying long-haul services between Dubai (DXB) and London Stansted (STN) next year.

Stansted, about 35 minutes north of central London, is best known as a value-focused airport and a major base for low-cost carriers. In recent years the airport has worked to attract more full-service, long-haul carriers, and Emirates plans to join that effort. The new nonstop service is scheduled to commence on June 8.

“Opening the London Stansted gateway was a strategic decision by Emirates to serve the thriving business community in London’s northeast and the wider 7.5 million population that fall within its catchment area,” Emirates said in a statement.

Emirates highlighted Stansted’s proximity to significant technology and pharmaceutical clusters around Cambridge and Peterborough as a key reason for the choice. Major life sciences and healthcare companies operating in the region include firms such as AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline, creating steady demand for direct international connectivity.

The service will be operated with a Boeing 777-300ER configured in three classes. Passengers can expect a premium experience, including fully enclosed private suites in first class, as well as business and economy cabins designed for long-haul comfort.

The move strengthens Stansted’s appeal beyond short-haul and low-cost travel by adding another intercontinental option, while giving Emirates broader access to customers in London’s northeastern suburbs and the nearby economic hubs. For leisure and business travelers in the region, the nonstop link to Dubai offers a convenient gateway to the Middle East, Asia and beyond via Emirates’ global network.
