Hilton has introduced a new feature in the Hilton HHonors app that helps guests discover activities and access exclusive discounts during their stay. Called Fun Finder, the tool delivers personalized recommendations, insider tips and special offers tailored to each trip. The feature is currently available at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort and Hilton Anatole, with plans to expand to additional properties in the future.
Fun Finder combines a guest’s WiFi connection, GPS, beacon technology and a short pre-arrival survey to identify interests and preferences. Using that information, the app suggests relevant experiences and deals based on the guest’s hotel, timing, location within the resort and other planned activities. Suggested offerings range from guided walking tours and complimentary beverages to happy hour alerts and background on the property’s art collection. The feature also includes practical services such as resort navigation, the ability to make advance dinner or spa reservations, and real-time messaging with a resort team member to handle questions or requests.
According to Joshua Sloser, vice president of digital product innovation at Hilton Worldwide, “We are making it easier than ever for our guests to be spontaneous and seize every opportunity to enjoy their stay, giving our Hilton HHonors members the inside scoop before they even have to ask. Fun Finder is a huge leap forward for the hotel industry — we’re artfully blending technology with exceptional experiences in a way that gives travelers a smarter, more personalized stay.”
Rich DiStefano, senior director of mobile products at Hilton Worldwide, adds that Fun Finder will reshape both guest experiences and hotel operations. “We’re reimagining the guest experience, finding new ways our Hilton HHonors app can better connect members to what they love. Fun Finder will also transform how our hotels manage themselves, as it provides real-time insights on everything from where additional team members are needed to what time of day guests are most interested in fitness classes,” he said.
By surfacing tailored suggestions and timely offers, Fun Finder aims to make each stay more enjoyable and convenient while giving hotels actionable data to improve service. As the feature rolls out to more properties, Hilton expects to further refine recommendations and expand the range of on-site experiences and member benefits accessible through the app.
