Hilton Worldwide has signed a new property in downtown Ho Chi Minh City: Hilton Saigon, scheduled to open in late 2019. This addition reflects Hilton’s ongoing expansion in Vietnam—where it already operates two hotels and has three more projects underway.
“Today’s announcement underscores our commitment to grow our presence in Vietnam, both by introducing more brands from our portfolio of 13 brands and by entering into new locations. Ho Chi Minh City, the economic center of Vietnam, is a gateway destination for leisure and business travelers, and we are thrilled to partner with Saigon Cuu Long Corporation to develop Hilton Saigon as a strong addition to our portfolio,” said Guy Phillips, senior vice president of development for Asia and Australia at Hilton Worldwide.
Construction for Hilton Saigon will begin a short drive from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, adjacent to Vietcombank Tower in the city’s central business district. The surrounding neighborhood hosts major commercial buildings and administrative offices, and is near cultural landmarks such as the Saigon Opera House and Saigon Notre Dame Basilica—making it convenient for both business and leisure guests.
“We are proud to introduce Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the flagship brand of Hilton Worldwide with more than 570 hotels across six continents, to Ho Chi Minh City where Hilton Saigon is ideally poised to deliver memorable experiences to the world’s travelers who visit this vibrant city,” said Sean Wooden, vice president of brand management for Asia Pacific at Hilton Worldwide.
Hilton Saigon will feature 350 guestrooms and a range of amenities designed for modern travelers, including a casino, spa, gym, two restaurants and a bar. The property aims to combine Hilton’s global hospitality standards with the energy and culture of Ho Chi Minh City to serve both international and local guests.
