Discover Montana: Top New Tours and Adventures 2026

Zephyr Adventures, a Montana-based tour operator, has launched a new domestic tour brand, Travel Montana, in response to the global pandemic and its severe impact on tourism.

Travel Montana focuses on socially distanced, outdoor experiences within the state and will begin full operations in 2021 with 11 tour options across Montana. Each itinerary is designed for smaller, private groups—many tours accommodate groups as small as four people—to provide a safer, more personalized travel experience.

“Zephyr Adventures is a small company with 24 years of experience operating tours worldwide,” said Allan Wright, owner of Zephyr Adventures. “When international travel halted because of the pandemic and related restrictions, we reassessed how to continue offering meaningful trips while prioritizing health and safety.”

Montana’s vast open spaces, low population density, abundant outdoor activities and tranquil towns make it an ideal destination for travelers seeking safer, nature-based getaways. Those qualities that drew visitors before the pandemic are likely to be even more appealing now.

“Our trips are naturally safer because activities occur outdoors and in small groups. Focusing solely on Montana made sense during the pandemic and remains a smart approach afterward,” Wright said. “We expect strong demand for domestic travel in 2021, and Montana will be high on many travelers’ lists. To meet that demand, we invested time and resources in creating Travel Montana.”
