Check-In: The valet service deserves high praise. From the moment we arrived, the attendant was attentive and carefully handled my Cadillac Sixt rental. The hotel lobby is striking — elegant chandeliers and lush floral arrangements create an immediately welcoming atmosphere. Check-in was efficient and friendly; the front desk staff completed the process in under five minutes and even escorted me to the elevator, a thoughtful touch I appreciated.
Guest Quarters: Entering the junior king suite felt luxurious. To the right was a well-appointed bathroom with double sinks and a spacious shower. A helpful foot bar in the shower made rinsing easy, and at the other end of the bathroom there was a deep granite soaking tub and a plush robe for after the bath. The robe was exceptionally soft without being overly fluffy.
To the left of the bathroom a small kitchen area included a microwave, which is convenient for reheating snacks or leftovers when you don’t want to dine out.
The centerpiece of the suite was a California king bed dressed in a plush down comforter and ample pillows. The bed faced a TV and minibar area. A practical work desk sat to the right of the bed, positioned well for anyone visiting on business — it provided a productive spot to handle a few tasks before heading out for the day.
Adjacent to the sleeping area, a sitting area with a large sectional and another big-screen TV offered a comfortable spot to relax. I used it to watch the Philadelphia 76ers win a playoff game, then spent quiet moments on the balcony that opens from the suite. After busy days of meetings, listening to the ocean from the balcony was a perfect way to unwind.
Services/Amenities: This recently renovated Conrad property is beautifully designed and situated right on the beach. Terra Mare, the oceanfront tapas restaurant, delivers a strong breakfast selection. My colleague and I enjoyed dishes such as avocado toast, smoked salmon Benedict and a fresh acai bowl. Small details, like individual Tabasco bottles, added a nice touch for those who like a little heat.
The Cornucopia market is convenient for grab-and-go needs, open from early morning into the evening, and offers both a market selection and a morning menu for travelers on the move. In the lobby, Atlas bar presents contemporary cocktails prepared with attentive presentation; the colorful drink I ordered matched the bar’s vibrant aesthetic and was a pleasant complement to a summer evening.
