James Viles, one of Australia’s most respected chefs and restaurateurs, returns to Bamurru Plains in March 2024 to lead a four-day, hands-on culinary safari. Bamurru Plains sits on private property east of Darwin, bordering Kakadu National Park. It is easily reached by a three-hour drive or a 30-minute scenic flight from Darwin, with guests often flying over spectacular wetlands. The 12-room safari lodge occupies part of a working buffalo station on the Mary River floodplains and showcases exceptional wildlife and birdlife amid diverse habitats.
