The 2013 Global Business Travel Association convention took place in San Diego, where mild weather and ocean views drew travel industry leaders from around the world. To mark the event, Global Traveler hosted its eighth annual GBTA cocktail reception.
More than 100 guests watched the sunset over San Diego’s skyline from the University Club atop Symphony Towers. Attendees mingled with the GT staff while enjoying antipasto, prime rib, shrimp and a selection of hors d’oeuvres. A contemporary duo provided live music, underscoring conversations focused on trends and developments shaping the travel industry.

August also marked the 45th annual Global Business Travel Association convention, which drew more than 5,000 attendees representing hotels, airlines, travel companies, travel publications and corporate travel departments. The 46th annual convention was scheduled for Los Angeles in July 2014.
