Hilton Rebrands Abu Dhabi Hotel After New Flag Partnership

Hilton Worldwide will add a second hotel in Abu Dhabi this summer by rebranding the 281-room Abu Dhabi Al Maqta as the Hilton Abu Dhabi Capital Grand. The hotel is situated in the Capital District near the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre and Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH), making it convenient for both business and leisure travelers.

Originally built in 2011, the property offers a wide range of facilities to meet the needs of guests and event planners. It has seven restaurants and bars, an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, and extensive meeting and event space. The ballroom accommodates up to 700 guests, and there is a separate 500-capacity function room. Additional event options include five meeting rooms and two boardrooms, suitable for conferences, corporate events, weddings and other gatherings.

Rob Palleschi, global head of Hilton Hotels & Resorts, noted the brand’s long-standing presence in the United Arab Emirates. Hilton Hotels & Resorts has operated in the UAE since 1973, and Palleschi described the new signing as a valuable addition to Hilton’s Middle East portfolio. With the Hilton Abu Dhabi Capital Grand, the company aims to better serve the growing number of visitors to the capital city and to provide a full-service hotel option that combines convenient location with extensive facilities.

The reflagging brings Hilton’s global standards and guest programs to the property, enhancing its appeal to international travelers and loyalty program members. The hotel’s combination of proximity to major transport links, plentiful dining options, leisure amenities and sizeable event spaces positions it as an attractive choice for visitors to Abu Dhabi.
