Jumeirah has opened Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort, the brand’s first luxury, eco-conscious resort, situated on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi.
Set on a pristine beachfront overlooking the Arabian Gulf, the resort offers sweeping views of marine life and the Saadiyat mangroves. Committed to preserving the island’s natural environment, the property protects the sand dunes and has partnered with Trust Your Water to reduce single-use plastics and eliminate plastic straws.
“This resort is a place like no other. Located next to one of the most spectacular beaches in the Arabian Gulf, every aspect of the resort’s design has been influenced by the beauty of this location,” said Linda Griffin, general manager of Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort.
Griffin added that the hotel’s sustainability initiatives extend beyond conservation: “Our commitment to protecting the natural sand dunes and sea around this hotel means that we are also continuously trying to minimize the impact that guests have on this environment by bringing in our own environmentally-friendly solutions and working with partners who are dedicated to employing sustainable, ethical practices in their businesses.”
The resort’s accommodation options are designed to make the most of the coastal setting. Guestrooms overlook the water, while suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies. For larger groups or families, villas with two, three or four bedrooms and private pools are available.
On-site facilities include three infinity pools, a dedicated kids’ pool, and a full wellness center and spa. Dining options reflect a mix of regional and international tastes: TEAN serves Arabic cuisine, while White features live cooking stations and a variety of global flavors.
