Andaz Hotels Launch in the Middle East: What Travelers Should Know

The Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi will be rebranded later this year as Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, marking the first Andaz hotel in the Middle East.

Located at the heart of the city, the hotel sits near major cultural and entertainment attractions. The property emphasizes local creativity through a permanent art collection that highlights Emirati and regional artworks and crafts.

Occupying the 18th through 33rd floors of the iconic Capital Gate tower, the hotel offers 189 guestrooms and suites. The building’s dramatic 18-degree lean makes it the world’s most inclined tower, and each guestroom features floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive views. In-room amenities include signature pieces such as bespoke loungewear. The hotel’s public spaces comprise a spa, multiple restaurants and bars, retail outlets, a rooftop pool and a fitness center.

“We are extremely excited to introduce the Andaz brand to the Middle East,” said Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, group chief executive of Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company. “As each Andaz hotel pays homage to its location, Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi will do so by incorporating local art, which will take guests on a journey into the UAE’s vibrant history and culture. A permanent art collection in the hotel will reflect the indigenous culture and evolution of UAE life, featuring the work of both Emirati and local artists.”

Stuart Deeson, area vice president for Abu Dhabi at Hyatt, added that the Andaz lifestyle brand is a natural fit for the city, which is known for art, culture and innovation. He said the opening aims to elevate the visitor experience in the capital by offering luxury accommodations, local perspectives and the creative inspiration associated with the Andaz name.
