One of Kentucky’s most notable hotels, The Campbell House Lexington, has joined Curio – A Collection by Hilton, Hilton Worldwide’s curated portfolio of upscale properties designed for travelers seeking distinctive local experiences.
Situated four miles from the famed Keeneland Race Course and just minutes from the University of Kentucky, downtown shops, restaurants and entertainment, the hotel has been a Lexington landmark for more than six decades. Construction began in 1949, and the original two-story motor inn opened in 1951 as The Campbell House Motor Inn. Over the years the property evolved—adding a pool and dining room in the 1970s—and most recently underwent more than $10 million in renovations to update its public spaces and guest rooms while preserving its regional character.
The Campbell House offers modern amenities expected by today’s travelers, including an indoor heated pool, 24-hour business and fitness centers, daily room service and complimentary WiFi. The 250 guestrooms, including 15 suites, feature equestrian-inspired décor that reflects Kentucky’s heritage. On-site dining options include Kilbern’s Restaurant and Bogart’s Bar & Grill, both offering Southern-influenced menus. For meetings and events, the hotel provides more than 18,000 square feet of flexible function space.
Curio – A Collection by Hilton focuses on properties that deliver authentic, locally rooted experiences while offering the reliability and benefits associated with the Hilton brand and its HHonors program. To mark The Campbell House Lexington’s inclusion in the collection, HHonors members were offered double bonus points on eligible stays booked at the best available rate for a limited promotion. In addition, Gold and Diamond HHonors members receive complimentary breakfast for up to two registered guests when eligible benefits apply.
