Ritz-Carlton Opens First Hotel in India: Luxury Launch in 2026

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has opened its first luxury hotel in India: The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore. Situated on Residency Road in the heart of downtown Bangalore, the hotel comprises 277 guestrooms whose design draws inspiration from local culture—featuring Jaali lattice patterns and white pointed archways that evoke the Mughal era and echoes of the Taj Mahal. The property also houses an extensive collection of contemporary art, displaying 1,280 pieces by noted artists throughout the hotel.

According to Herve Humler, president and COO of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, the new property aims to set a new international benchmark for luxury hospitality in India. He explained that the hotel brings the Ritz-Carlton service philosophy to life while blending it with traditional Indian hospitality to craft memorable guest experiences.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore offers a wide range of amenities, including seven fine dining restaurants, a salon, dedicated meeting and event spaces, a full-service spa, a fitness center, and an outdoor pool area with a lounge, bar and private cabanas. These facilities are designed to serve both leisure and business travelers seeking refined comfort and attentive service.

The opening in Bangalore expands The Ritz-Carlton’s global footprint. The brand currently operates 81 properties across the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East, with recent openings that include a new hotel in Kazakhstan.
