Cathay Pacific Rewards Card for U.S. Travelers: Perks & Signup Tips

American travelers who frequently fly to Asia with Cathay Pacific now have a new way to earn rewards: the airline’s recently launched credit card tailored for U.S. customers.

The Cathay Pacific Visa Signature card offers new cardmembers the chance to earn up to two Asia Miles per dollar on qualifying purchases, plus a welcome bonus of up to 25,000 Asia Miles after spending $2,500 within the first 90 days.

Miles can be earned on select dining and shopping purchases both inside and outside the United States. A balance of 25,000 Asia Miles can cover meaningful travel value—such as a one-way upgrade on Cathay Pacific or a one-way economy award with oneworld partners including British Airways, American Airlines and Alaska Airlines. In addition to flights, Asia Miles may be redeemed for hotel stays, rental cars and other travel-related expenses.

Cardholders also receive several practical benefits, including no foreign transaction fees on purchases made abroad and a complimentary one-year membership in Cathay Pacific’s Marco Polo Club, which provides access to additional airline perks and privileges.

This new Visa Signature option aims to appeal to frequent Asia-bound travelers who want to consolidate everyday spending into a single card that accelerates Asia Miles earning while offering travel-focused benefits and reduced fees when abroad.
