American Airlines Partners With Uber for Seamless Airport Rides

American Airlines has launched a partnership with ride-hailing service Uber. Travelers who book flights on American’s website will now see an option in their confirmation email to set an Uber pickup reminder for when they land.

The feature is available at 11 U.S. airports, including Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, Philadelphia International Airport, and both New York airports — John F. Kennedy International and LaGuardia.

American Airlines’ AAdvantage Executive Platinum members can receive Uber discounts of up to $25 if they enroll in the rewards offer by March 1. New Uber customers can also get up to $20 off their next ride using the promo code RIDEAA.

“We’re excited to partner with the only global ride-sharing service to offer customers exactly what they’re asking for — a seamless travel experience, whether they’re in the sky or on the ground,” said Scott Hinshaw, director of partner marketing for American Airlines. “By working together, we can provide a service that allows customers to request their Uber ride in step with their itinerary and know where to meet their Uber driver after their flight lands.”
