The striking Mondrian Doha has opened in the West Bay district, near Lagoona Mall and Lusail City, bringing bold design and luxury hospitality to the heart of the city. Developed by sbe, the property represents a major entry into the region and marks designer Marcel Wanders’ first Middle East project. Collaborating with South West Architecture, the team created a visually arresting hotel that blends theatrical interiors with contemporary comforts.
The hotel offers 270 rooms, including 59 suites, each finished with distinctive details such as hand-painted Delft-blue vases, sculptural floating staircases and custom Dewan Majlis sofas that reference local traditions in a modern context. Public areas and guest rooms combine dramatic patterns, rich textures and carefully curated objects to create a memorable stay for business and leisure travelers alike.
Dining options span a range of cuisines and atmospheres. Four signature restaurants—Walima, Hudson Tavern, Morimoto and CUT by Wolfgang Puck—serve everything from regional specialties to international favorites, while a Magnolia Bakery in the lobby provides casual treats. For evening drinks and socializing, the hotel features two cocktail lounges, Rise and Black Orchid, each with its own vibe.
