Expanded Rail Service to Tel Aviv: New Schedules & Routes

United Airlines launched non-stop service between San Francisco (SFO) and Tel Aviv (TLV) earlier this year, marking the first direct connection between the two cities. For several weeks in June and July, travelers can book additional seats on this route as United temporarily operates Boeing 777 aircraft to increase capacity. The service runs three times weekly: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Outbound flights depart San Francisco at 8:00 p.m. and arrive in Tel Aviv at 8:10 p.m. the next day, with a scheduled flight time of approximately 14 hours and 10 minutes. Return flights leave Tel Aviv at 12:55 a.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and arrive back in San Francisco at around 6:00 a.m. the same day, with a flight time of just over 15 hours.

“Our new service between San Francisco and Tel Aviv is a direct response to customer demand,” said Dave Hilfman, senior vice president of worldwide sales at United Airlines. “Customers asked for convenient, direct flights between these markets. After reviewing thousands of customer requests, we identified an opportunity to serve a significant base of high-tech business travelers moving between the Bay Area, Silicon Valley and Tel Aviv.”
