Yardstick of success: Between 2014 and 2015, Turkish Airlines grew its business by about 10 percent, increasing passenger numbers from 58 million to 60 million. The airline is recognized for its dining and lounge services, operates an extensive network of destinations, and is a member of Star Alliance. What is the most important item you take when traveling? My camera. Photography is a passion of mine, and I enjoy documenting journeys and capturing moments from different places.
How do you spend your time on board? While flying with Turkish Airlines, I pay close attention to the passenger experience—observing new onboard features and how travelers interact with our service. I also read industry magazines such as GT and enjoy books during flights.
What is your favorite restaurant in the world? Çiya in Istanbul, located in Kadiköy, is one of my favorites for authentic local Turkish cuisine.
What is your favorite destination in the world? I am excited to be based in Los Angeles and look forward to exploring what the city and region have to offer.
