United Airlines is introducing a range of new dining and beverage options for travelers. Enhancements include complimentary meals and drinks for select United Economy customers, seasonal craft beers, and updated entrees and snacks on flights to Latin America and the Caribbean.
“By delivering more restaurant-quality meals prepared with the best ingredients, and by offering more opportunities for complimentary drinks like seasonal beer, we’re responding to what customers tell us they want from their travel experience,” said Jimmy Samartzis, vice president of food services and United Clubs at United Airlines.
United Economy passengers traveling from the United States to Bogotá, Colombia, or Quito, Ecuador, will now receive complimentary breakfast items such as hot breakfast sandwiches and fresh fruit, along with full lunch and dinner entrees. On these same routes, United customers will also be offered complimentary wine and beer selected to pair with the entrees. Complimentary beverages, including newly added craft beers, will also be available to United Economy customers flying from the United States to Caracas or Lima, and on select flights between Singapore and Hong Kong or Tokyo Narita.
United Business customers flying to the Caribbean and Latin America will see menu updates that highlight local flavors. Breakfast choices will incorporate regional influences, while lunch and dinner offerings will focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. For flights departing after 10:00 p.m. to these destinations, passengers can expect chilled snack service with items such as salads, fruit and desserts.
These menu changes are part of United’s broader effort to enhance the onboard experience by providing higher-quality meals and more complimentary beverage options on targeted international routes.
