Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Launches First Topgolf Swing Suite

“Our Topgolf Swing Suite experience is not only elevating the hotel’s ability to host flexible and memorable events for all types of guests, it’s adding to downtown San Diego’s cultural footprint,” said Tom Tabler, general manager of the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. “Whether you’re visiting from out of town and enjoying the hotel’s amenities, attending the nearby Convention Center, or a local looking for a new interactive experience, we’re excited to offer a welcoming waterfront destination.”

Each bay is designed to host up to eight players and can be rented by the hour or booked as a full-space buyout. The Swing Suites include both golf and non-golf options — from target and course play to carnival-style games, hockey, basketball and football — so groups of varying interests and skill levels can enjoy the experience. The lounge provides generous seating, scenic views of San Diego Bay and HDTVs. The suites use Full Swing simulator technology to recreate many of the world’s most famous golf courses. Pricing starts at $75 per hour per bay.

“We are proud to team with Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina to provide a new kind of interactive social experience that will entertain visitors of all ages and skill levels in San Diego,” said Ron Powers, president of Topgolf Swing Suite. “Powered by industry-leading Full Swing simulators, the games are built to be accessible and fun for both golfers and non-golfers.”

Guests can also enjoy the 19th Hole menu, which features shareable food and drink options such as wings, dips and macarons. To mark the opening, the hotel is offering a Bays on The Bay package that includes deluxe bay-view accommodations, access to a private Topgolf Swing Suite bay for the length of the stay, a food and beverage credit, and a golf-inspired amenity.
