Joie de Vivre Expands to the East Coast

Commune Hotels & Resorts is extending its California-born brand, Joie de Vivre Hotels, to the East Coast with two new properties: The Hall in Miami Beach and 50 Bowery in New York City.

“The expansion of Joie de Vivre Hotels from coast to coast reflects its strong appeal to both guests and local communities,” said Niki Leondakis, CEO of Commune Hotels & Resorts. “Our goal is to create hotels that deliver memorable, neighborhood-centered experiences.”

Leondakis emphasized the brand’s evolving focus on food and beverage. “As restaurants and bars become increasingly important to travelers, we are investing in locally relevant culinary programs and partnering with talented chefs who capture the spirit and energy of each community,” she said.

The Hall in Miami Beach is scheduled to open in the summer of 2015, while the 50 Bowery project in New York City is expected to open in 2016. Both properties are intended to reflect their neighborhoods through design, dining and cultural programming, aligning with Joie de Vivre’s philosophy of creating distinctive, community-rooted hotels.

By expanding beyond California, Joie de Vivre aims to bring its neighborhood-driven hospitality and curated culinary experiences to a broader audience while maintaining the local character that defines the brand.
