Hilton Worldwide has expanded its footprint in Saudi Arabia with the opening of Hilton Suites Makkah, the company’s fifth property in the kingdom. Situated close to Jeddah International Airport and within easy reach of Makkah’s major holy sites, Hilton Suites Makkah comprises 480 guestrooms across two towers.
The hotel is designed to serve both pilgrims and business travelers, offering a 24-hour fitness center and a 24-hour business center. Guests also have access to an on-site clinic for immediate medical attention, five dining outlets serving a variety of cuisines, and two flexible meeting spaces suitable for small conferences and gatherings.
“Saudi Arabia has seen a steady rise in religious and business travel in recent years,” said Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa. “As the world’s most significant pilgrimage destination, Makkah draws millions of visitors for the annual Hajj and year-round Umrah pilgrimages. Hilton Worldwide entered the holy city 19 years ago with Makkah Hilton & Towers, the first international hotel in Makkah. The opening of Hilton Suites Makkah complements our existing property and supports the growing number of visitors to the city.”
