Anantara Dubai The Palm Launches Next-Generation Tuk-Tuks for Guests

Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa has raised the bar for on-site transport by introducing electric tuk-tuks as its new premium resort vehicles. The recently launched e-Tuk fleet replaces traditional golf carts and offers a quieter, cleaner and more engaging way for guests to move around the property.

The e-Tuks are produced by the Dutch Tuk Tuk Factory and are designed for road use while delivering the low noise, zero tailpipe emissions and reliability that hospitality operations require. Roland Vos, CEO of Tuk Tuk Factory, highlights how the vehicles fit the leisure sector: “Electric driving is especially popular in the recreational sector. Customers want silence, reliability and clean air, but most of all they consider our vehicles to be good fun!”

The resort will receive a full range of Tuk Tuk Factory models, tailored to different needs across the property. That includes the six-passenger e-Tuk Limo, ideal for guest transfers, and the utility-focused e-Tuk Vendo Cargo, which is well suited to housekeeping and kitchen operations. Both models combine practical functionality with a distinctive appearance that complements the resort’s style.

James Hewitson, resident manager at Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa, says the vehicles blend well with the resort’s Thai-inspired atmosphere and have already become popular with guests. The introduction of e-Tuks supports the resort’s commitment to a more sustainable, enjoyable guest experience while maintaining the convenience and flexibility staff need for daily operations.

The switch to electric tuk-tuks reflects a wider trend in luxury hospitality toward low-emission, guest-focused transport solutions. Resorts are increasingly choosing electric vehicles that offer comfort, aesthetic appeal and operational efficiency without compromising on environmental considerations or guest satisfaction.

With deliveries scheduled over the coming weeks, Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa will soon have a complete fleet that serves both guest-facing and back-of-house roles. The resort’s move underscores how thoughtful vehicle selection can enhance the guest journey, reduce noise and emissions on property, and add an element of fun to everyday travel around the grounds.
