Andaz Oceanfront Suites & New Amenities Guide

Hyatt Hotels Corp. has opened Andaz Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica. Perched on 28 oceanfront acres along the country’s northwest Pacific coast and overlooking the Bay of Culebra, the resort offers 153 guestrooms, including 21 suites. Each room features spacious balconies and the property provides more than 8,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space.

The resort’s design emphasizes indoor-outdoor living, highlighted by an open-air lobby that connects guests to the surrounding landscape. Dining options include three restaurants focused on Caribbean-inspired menus and showcasing Costa Rican chocolate and locally sourced teas. Guests can unwind at a spa with nine treatment rooms, maintain their routine in a 24-hour fitness center, or relax across two swimming pools and a private beach.

Andaz Peninsula Papagayo aims to immerse visitors in Costa Rica’s culture and natural beauty. “Costa Rica is full of rich culture and history, and we can’t wait to provide our guests with new and inspiring experiences that will help them feel like a true local during their stay,” said Michael Schmid, general manager of Andaz Peninsula Papagayo.

This opening marks the second Andaz-branded hotel to debut in the past year, joining Andaz Maui at Wailea, which opened in Hawaii in early September 2013.
